AMMF success

We had a great day at Atlanta Mini Maker Faire. I need to do a count on the remaining kits to see how many we went through, but we were packed all day. Kids of all ages sat down with us for 15 minutes to a half hour and learned how to solder. Unfortunately the vacuum form robot bodies took a while to get started and we weren't able to keep up with the demand. We'll have that sorted out better next time. A huge thanks to everyone who helped make this a success, especially the volunteers who manned soldering irons yesterday. Couldn't have done it without you all!

See everyone tomorrow! Drop by and say hello, make some solder smoke, and make some LEDs blink!

Vote for Robots!

Understandably the sign companies are real busy right now. Something about a big election. On came through on a fast small order though.
Look for this sign and join us at Atlanta Mini Maker Faire this weekend!

v1.5 PCB working prototype

Assembled v1.6

With color coded components. Note that the LEDs are on the
other side, to allow the "blinking eyes" to be integrated with the robot body vacuum form component, and still allow access to the battery from the back.

V1.6 PCBs "silkscreened"

Rubber stamp board layout and paint pen dot color coding for component layout.
